Did Jesus Debate? – Caleb Robertson (The Church of Christ)

“What Does the Bible Say?” is a live, call-in religious broadcast brought to you by the church of Christ.

When Jesus was faced by His opponents and an audience stood by He always responded to answer rather than allowing it to permeate the minds of the people. We need to debate today just as Jesus did.
The only reasons that Baptists and Pentecostals are refusing to debate today is because they know that their doctrines/traditions will not stand against scrutiny.

  1. The modern-day Church of Christ calls every other church Apostate and LOST. However, Jesus says that only He will judge. This is shown in John 5:22-23
"For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, 23 so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father."

Additionally, the Apostle Paul states that those who cause division are sinners. We see this is Titus 3:9-11 –
" But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. 10 Reject a factious man after a first and second warning, 11 knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned."

Those that are members of the modern-day Church of Christ who say that they are right and everyone else is wrong are PERVERTED and SINNERS, since they cause DIVISION. These men are SELF-CONDEMNED.
